Do you struggle with where to go next with your fantasy/sci-fi novel?
Do you need a writer for your ministry or non-profit?
Have you gone as far as you can on your own? I can help with that.
My name is Amy Caylor and I am a storyteller. As a lover of stories, I can help you write and edit your fantasy/sci-fi story as someone who understands the intricacies of the genre. As a child of God, I share your passion for helping others and want to spread the story of what God is doing around the world.

Fantasy/Science-Fiction Writer and Editor
I’ve been writing stories as soon as I learned how to hold a pencil. I still have some stories from kindergarten stuffed in the back of cabinets—adventures of my stuffed animals and “The Most Orange-y Orange”. In middle school, I hide books around the house so I could snatch a paragraph or two whenever I got the chance. I thought I was so sneaky, but looking back I am pretty sure my parents were onto me.
Now I want to help others write their stories. Whether you are stuck on plot or need a second pair of eyes on your manuscript, I want to help. I have a sharp eye for logical inconsistencies and unrealistic dialogue. I know the tropes of fantasy and science fiction and how to use them to your advantage.
I manage and lead my writing group in a monthly competition against other writing groups. My novel reached the semi-finals of the 2018 OYAN competition. You can check out several of my short stories on Medium and an article I have written about magic here.
Ministry Writer and Editor
When I was little I wanted to be a writer and I wanted to work in ministry. It turns out I can do both! As your writer I can write articles and blog posts sharing how God has worked through your ministry.
You can read some of my previous work here and here.
Some Fun Facts About Me
- I live in Arizona and attend ASU as an English major.
- I was homeschooled from kindergarten through high school.
- My favorite fairytale is Beauty and the Beast, but my favorite Disney princess is Rapunzel.
- If I were to create a ring with which I would take over the world, I would create Sauron’s ring. Both because of the nerd factor and because I just like the idea of a gold band with script inscribed on it.
